Candles

My Dearest Brother in Law, Colin. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be He put his arms around you And whispered come to me He didn’t like what you went through And he gave you rest His garden must be beautiful He only takes the best And when we saw you sleeping So peaceful and free from pain We wouldn’t wish you back To suffer that again And as you take your final rest That garden must be beautiful Because you are one of the best. Sleep well brother.

Thinking of you Uncle Colin. When Me, Dad and a Malcolm came to visit you a couple of weeks ago I never once imagined it’d be the last time I will ever see you. I’m glad I got to give you a hug and kiss when I did, as there are so many family members out there - siblings, nieces & nephews that didn’t get that opportunity - I’m one of the fortunate ones. I will always fondly remember the time you were chasing me, wearing my skates and went arse over and did your leg in down East Road. The ambulance came and Tracy climbed up in to the Ambulance and told the paramedics that you were ‘her husband!’ Hahaha! Brilliant and wonderful memories. You will be sorely missed by everyone that knew you Uncle Col. you were quite simply one in a million and will always be lovingly remember as “Casual,” “Colly” and “Collywobble.” Rest in eternal peace with your son Paul, Grandad Gerald and brothers David & Andrew. 🙏
